Chris Ison, Creative Director at Codemakers, presented the under 11 Girls with their new kit, which the company has sponsored, ahead of their Derbyshire Girls League game at the Racecourse on Saturday.

Codemakers are a Digital Consultancy and Web Development team based in Derby that builds, delivers and markets bespoke web applications & mobile apps, from concept to delivery, using the latest web technologies and industry standards.

The under 11 Girls’ Team manager and FA Grassroots Coach of the Year, Lizzie Pacey said:
„We are extremely grateful for the support of Codemakers which helps us to offset the cost of new kit, which is a significant expense, and to help keep subscriptions at an affordable level so playing football is accessible to as many girls as possible”

Chris Ison, the Creative Director at Codemakers said: „I’ve noticed that the girls are coming on in leaps and bounds, showing tenacity and determination to compete, whilst still really enjoying themselves and sticking together as a team. They’ve all become great friends and play for each other on the pitch.

Our under 11 Girls are looking to boost numbers for the remainder of this season and in preparation for 9v9 next season. The squad is open to year 5 and year 6 girls (that aren’t already attached to a team in the Derbyshire Girls League) and provides a supportive, fun, environment to play football, develop skills and confidence, make new friends and be part of a team.
