U10 Challenge Cup 2nd Round: u10 Pumas 0-4 Heanor
The cup run comes to an end this year for the Pumas. Sadly no comeback for the girls in a tough match. Unfortunately, injuries and absences depleted the team on Saturday and we lost another one pretty much as soon as she went on, after Tayla took a ball to the side of her head and she was not able to continue. The girls battled hard throughout but were not able to get themselves back into it despite their best efforts. Ivy was a deserving player of the match

U11 Plate 1st Round: Pride Park U11s Jaguars 1-1 Little Eaton (2-1 on penalties)
A thrilling roller coaster of a cup tie at the Racecourse which saw the u11 Jaguars win 2-1 on penalties after a closely fought draw.
The Jaguars started well, forcing several chances early on with Freya going close from a corner from Amber. Tiana, Esther and Holly were defending well in the first half, keeping the opposition out, but they got through once and hit the post.
Jaguars responded late on in the half with Zara playing a crossfield pass to Lucy who ran through and shot to score.
In the second half, Jaguars forced more chances, with the Little Eaton keeper making several saves at close range as Rose and Katie nearly scored. Little Eaton then broke to equalise. With neither team able to find a winner a penalty shoot-out was required to decide which team would progress to the next round.
Freya scored the first penalty and so did Little Eaton. Alicia saved the next two penalties, so Holly had the chance to win the tie, and hit the ball high in off the bar to send the Jaguars though. They will play Gresley Rovers Ravens in the quarter-final, who had an identical result in their game against Ashbourne
Well done to Lilly making her debut and really doing well playing centre forward for part of the match.
Zara was named POTM, putting in a very composed performance, keeping possession, setting up a goal, tracking back and making some crucial tackles and clearances.
