U11 Jaguars v Belper Hammers
A really good performance from the Jaguars on Saturday morning in an exciting game with Belper. The girls had been working on passing & moving in recent weeks during training, and they really took this into the match today with many of the onlooking crowd commenting how well the girls moved the ball around to create several chances.
Ava and Evelyn made their Pride Park debuts yesterday, and did very well in defence. They were called on several times to stop Belper attacks and had to deal with a couple of tricky and strong players at times. They were both well assisted by Tiana, Esther and Holly in defence and Alicia in goal who all played well in protecting the goal.
In midfield, Rose, Zara, Amber, Lucy, Katie with Wren and Freya in attack played some excellent passing moves with all players contributing to some good chances that the team created throughout the match.
An excellent performance all round from the girls, today really showed how well they are doing and playing as a team.
Player of the match went to Amber for a great performance in centre midfield and left wing, a great all round performance with some key passes, protecting the ball and tackling back. Well done!

U10 Pumas v Codnor
A very depleted squad today with a mixture of illness and holidays left the Pumas with 7 players and one of them was not 100%. The girls though not letting this deter them started really well and were playing the ball around nicely picking spaces without managing to challenge the Codnor keeper but that changed just before half time when Bella broke into the box and shot past the keeper.
Lily then made a terrific save after a quick Codnor attack. Into the second half and Ivy and Umayyah provided a solid wall behind Dela, Evie and Tayla who were covering every inch of the pitch allowing Bella to stay forward and drop in when needed and Bella managed to score again midway into the second half with a good finish after some quick feet got her some space.
We then made some changes and Ivy went to play striker and Umayyah went into Midfield as the girls saw the match out. We could not decide on a player of the match due to all of the girls being brilliant so we had a team players of the match.
