Pride Park’s Women’s 1st team are up against Staveley Minders Welfare Ladies in the Derbyshire FA Women’s Plate Final at Mickleover FC’s Don Amott Stadium on Sunday .

Our opponents
Staveley Miners Welfare, “The Trojans”, are based at the Inkersall Road Stadium at Staveley, near Chesterfield, and play in the Sheffield and Hallamshire League. This will be the first time the teams have met.

Facts and Stats
Staveley have established themselves in Sheffield & Hallamshire League Division 2, finishing in 4th place last season after securing promotion from Division 3 as Champions with a 100% record in 2022/23.

On the road to the Final, Staveley overcame Bakewell 4-3 in the 1st Round, received a walkover against Ashbourne in the Quarter-Final and edged out Glossop North End 5-4 on penalties in the semi-final, after it finished 2-2 after 90 minutes.

Pride Park received a walkover against Gresley Rovers in the 1st Round, before beating Stapenhill 7-0 and Stanton Ilkeston 8-1 in the quarter-final and semi-final respectively.

Team News[b/]
Of the players that played in the earlier rounds, the only absentees are Rachel Weaver and Loren Kitching. Pride hope to have Steph Eadon and Abbey Hirst back after missing one and two games respectively through injury.

The Referee for the game is Martin Chilver, assisted by Darcy Dickens and Akhile Diamond with Carl Arrowsmith as the fourth official.

How to watch
The game is at Mickleover FC, Don Amott Arena, Station Road, Mickleover DE3 9FB. Kick off is at 11am. The ground has a capacity of 1,500 (280 seated). Admission is £5 per adult (16+) and £3 for under 16s.
